I am presently a faculty member at the University of Silicon Andhra, Milpitas (California), USA –a first-of-its-kind higher educational institution promoting high quality academic studies on Indian literature, music, dance and culture in the USA, set up by a wonderful group of Indian-Americans very dedicated to this cause.
I was a faculty member of the Sri Venkateswara College of Music and Dance, Tirupati, from 2005 to 2017. A subsidiary of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, this boutique college,is dedicated to the imparting of higher education in Classical music and Dance. Its uniqueness lay in the fact that Tirupati is an educational hub for several districts in Andhra Pradesh, and that a number of students from heterogenous backgrounds congregated here for training.
I have published several research papers in journals and seminars, and have also contributed Lectures for ‘e-Pathashala- a collaborative project of the Ministry of Human Resources and Development (Govt. of India) and University Grants Commission. I have included some snapshots of my academic work, below
University Grants’ Commission (UGC) Course – Bhakti Saints of India (part 1 – South India)
University Grants’ Commission (UGC) Course – Saints of India (part 2 – North India)
